We decided to do things differently
We created Legal Studio to give lawyers a better way to work - a way that balances independence with support, professionalism with personality, and ambition with humanity. This manifesto reflects our belief that lawyers should feel valued, have the freedom and support to take back control, and finding their way back to being able to Enjoy Work again.
It's about giving you the space to work your way, while knowing there’s a like-minded community behind you. It’s about removing the obstacles, offering support when you need it, and making sure you can focus on what matters most - whether that’s your clients, your career, or your life outside of work - that's completely up to you.
Our Four Key Beliefs are the foundation of everything we do.
1. Design your own Legal Studio
- You decide how much you work, who you work with, and what your ambitions look like.
- You control your earnings and how you grow your practice.
- Whether you want to engage deeply or work on your terms, it’s entirely up to you.
- You’re independent but part of a community of like-minded, senior consultants who “get it.”
- Lean on us for support with billing, systems, regulation and the rest - but only as much as you need.
2. You can bring your whole self to work (always)
- Bring your whole self - your skills, your quirks, your personality - we are proud to be brilliant misfits.
- We’re all about individuality - No moulds, no pretence - just lawyers who love what they do, working in the way that suits them best - Great lawyers are great humans first, and that’s how it should be.
- Whether you want to go all in or just enough, it’s up to you.
3. No Egos, No Targets, No Politics
We have ditched everything that holds lawyers back:
- No rigid hierarchies telling you to wait your turn.
- No arbitrary targets to hit just for the sake of it.
- No office politics or egos getting in the way of your work.
This isn’t law on someone else’s terms. It’s law on yours.
4. Freedom with Support
Independence doesn’t have to mean isolation. At Legal Studio, you get the best of both worlds:
